The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), is organizing an event where FAO and its partners will feature existing global, regional and national DRR activities. The event will include, among others, the role of extracurricular educational activities, Farmer Field Schools, and interventions that empower young people to build agrifood systems that are more resilient to future crises, shocks and stresses. The event commemorates the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (IDDRR), which falls on 13 October.
