The IDDRR Mini Youth Festival will engage young people in practical, interactive learning on disaster preparedness, household resilience, and everyday actions that can help keep families and communities safe.
The festival will create an accessible and energetic space where young people can learn by doing, collaborate with peers, and reflect on how small actions at home can contribute to wider community resilience. The event will also provide an opportunity to introduce core disaster risk reduction concepts in a practical way, encouraging participants to become advocates for preparedness within their families, schools, and communities. The events over the week will ensure that the perspectives and needs of those most at risk including women and girls, persons with disabilities, youth, and displaced populations.
