About
Prof. Laldinpuia, Professor & Nodal Officer, IUIN- DRR, NIDM for Mizoram University, will deliver a lecture on 'Fund Resilience, Not Disaster', the theme of IDDRR2025.
The Centre for Disaster Management, Mizoram University, India was established in 2021, and organize IDDRR every year from the commencement of Disaster Management studies. Under the theme of IDDRR2025, a general article written by Prof. Laldinpuia will publish in all the leading newspapers in the state in local language. This year, observe the day on 13th October, and organize Community Leaders' Training on Disaster Management at Ruantlang village, Champhai District (~200km from the Campus). The village is selected for vulnerability to earthquake and landslide hazards, and no training or workshop conduct before. The Centre will prepare a Crisis Management Plan and help to constitute a disaster management committee for the village.
